Tracking time worked when employees travel can be tough for your staff. Here’s something that might help.

A company called TSheets recently made a service available that allows workers to use their cell phones to clock in and out.

It can be done either through a text message, or with an actual phone call. The software uses voice recognition technology to translate something like “Clock me in at 8:00 a.m.” into instructions for the system.

Looks like it might be worth it, especially for companies with a lot of mobile workers who need to track time.

    Dear Mr. Narisi,

The technology of clocking in and out using phone systems has been available for many years. We have many customers using this technology, some combine this with GPS technology to allow them to know that the employee is actually where they are supposed to be when they clock in for the day, i.e. their job site. We would be happy to discuss these technologies and others should you be interested.

Below are a few free resources you may find useful.
