Beware Amazon fraud checks

Just a heads up to Amazon customers: The popular online retailer is NOT, we repeat NOT conducting regular fraud checks with their customers.
A number of Amazon customers are reporting that they’ve gotten very official looking e-mail from “Amazonfraudchecks” inquiring about their account information and stating that apparently fraudulent purchases may have been made.
The customers are then directed to what looks like Amazon’s log-in so they can check out account activity and information.
But it’s not a legit Amazon site and logging in gives scammers the keys to get into your account.
Nice, eh?
Never navigate to a commercial site via the link in an e-mail. And if anyone contacts you about your account this way, be very very suspicious.

I thought these warnings would be old news to most savvy internet users. No legitimate company ever asks for your passwords or credit card information via e-mail.
