The hunt for malicious code directed at Google just got a whole lot hotter. The search giant’s raising its top reward for vulnerabilities from just over $3,000 to a whopping $20,000.
The Vulnerability Reward Program (VRP) will apply not just to Google.com, the search giant’s hub for Web searches, it will also cover vulnerabilities that allow remote code execution and target other Google domains, like YouTube , Gmail and Google Wallet.
Other Google Web apps will also be covered by the higher reward.
A $10,000 bounty will be paid for SQL injection bugs or “significant” authentication bypass or data leak vulnerabilities.
