Dell has decided to throw its hat back into the handheld device arena.
The Wall Street Journal reported the vendor is developing a handheld mobile device for Internet access. Powered by an Arm chip and running the Linux-based Android OS, the prototype is said to resemble Apple’s iPod Touch, but a little larger and without cellphone capabilities.
This’ll be the first handheld device Dell’s released since the Axim PDA, which was scrapped in 2007. The company is said to have plans to release the device later this year.
So, do you think Dell has a chance in the handheld market?
