Getting tough on corporate credit card users

Does your organization provide corporate credit cards to staff? Plenty do, and in these days of tight credit and automated travel and expense filing, these cards get plenty of use — and sometimes abuse.
So now may be the time to put some teeth into your corporate credit card policy. Many companies have, according to a recent survey by the Association of Corporate Travel Executives and Citi.
To keep employee’s spending in line with your policies, you might want to follow the lead of many Finance teams that capture the highest amount of spend data on their cards.
Using this data,
- 30% remove card privileges when employees step out of line, while
- about 20% don’t reimburse expenses that fall outside their policies.
