IT spending in 2009

Sure, a lot of companies are imposing a spending freeze to combat slumping revenue, but not every organization includes IT in the cutback.
And the smaller your firm is, the more likely you’ll be able to keep on dipping into company coffers.
The folks at IDC Corp. found that
- only 38% of small firms are likely to delay IT spending in ‘09, and
- 42% of mid-sized companies are going to reduce IT spending.
That means more than half of IT shops in these kinds of firms will be spending money the way they always have.
Good news for vendors and contractor too.
