Any IT pro in charge of managing mobile tools is bound to be keeping an eye on the text messaging needs of users. So who sends the most texts?

That would be users in El Paso, where 57% of cell phone subscribers older than 18 text message. Compare that to the national average of 48%.

Other cities with big texting traffic: Salt Lake City, UT; Dallas; Memphis, TN. Least likely texters are the folks in Fort Myers, FL, Charleston, WV, and Grand Rapids, MI.

Research also showed that texters tend to be young and diverse, and are among the highest spenders on cellular services, something you’ll want to take into consideration when budgeting cell service for them.
